The Virvolt 2000, a powerful, French-made motor system built for the future of cargo e-bikes
Virvolt and eBikeLabs have joined forces to create a next-generation rear hub motor system designed for utility and cargo bikes. The result is Virvolt 2000, a robust, intelligent drive system combining 70 Nm of direct torque, 1,000 W peak power, and advanced motor control from eBikeOS. Together, we’ve crafted a high-performance, Made-in-France solution manufactured at Renault’s Refactory.
With adaptive hill starts, regenerative braking, and real-time AI assistance, Virvolt 2000 makes urban logistics smoother, safer, and smarter, all while simplifying maintenance and extending motor life.
The first production model is the Shwette Baggy, Shwette Bicyclettes’ modular cargo bike, launched in May 2025, with more French brands to follow.
This is more than a motor, it’s the new standard for powerful, sustainable urban mobility.
Now available via Virvolt’s network of 350+ retail partners across France, Belgium, and Switzerland.
