Moving Magnet Technologies (MMT), a member of the Sonceboz group, the Swiss mechatronics leader, has joined forces with eBikeLabs to launch a super-compact, high-torque hub motor at Eurobike 2025. This collaboration marks a major step forward for premium urban e-bikes, combining performance, safety, and scalable production to reshape sustainable urban mobility.

Developed by MMT with eBikeLabs and industrialized by Sonceboz, this all-in-one hub motor delivers up to 70 Nm of torque, features an integrated torque sensor and 22:1 gear ratio — all while weighing under 2.5 kg. Designed for single-speed urban bikes and powered by eBikeOS, it offers a smooth, reactive assistance ideal for city riding. Regenerative braking extends range and reduces brake wear, while its smart anti-theft lock meets the demands of discerning cyclists.

A Strategic partnership for excellence
This joint project brings together the strengths of all three companies:
MMT contributes expertise in cutting-edge electromagnetic solutions, creating a next-gen motor optimized for eBikeOS’ advanced features.
Sonceboz, known for zero-ppm quality in automotive-grade production, leads industrialization via automated Swiss facilities, targeting commercial availability by early 2027. The system is currently in B-sample testing with a premium urban bike brand.
