Grenoble, October 3, 2025 – Battery performance is now the key factor for both fleet operators and e-bike manufacturers. It drives total cost of ownership (TCO), user satisfaction, and product competitiveness. Today, eBikeLabs announces breakthrough results with eBikeOS, achieving up to 45% battery consumption savings without compromising climbing performance. (French version available below)

How it works

Unlike conventional motor control systems, eBikeOS continuously analyzes rider effort, terrain, speed, and system status. Its intelligent algorithms generate optimized motor commands in real time. The result: extended range, fewer charging cycles, and longer battery lifespan.

“With eBikeOS, we show that it is possible to radically transform e-bike fleet management. Battery consumption optimization is not just a technical achievement: it’s a strategic lever to improve profitability, extend fleet lifespan, and deliver a better riding experience,” says Maël Bosson, Founder of eBikeLabs.

Proven results, validated by data

Through a rigorous protocol combining theoretical modeling and real-world measurements, eBikeLabs has demonstrated consistent savings across different profiles and usage modes*:

  • Up to 45% savings in Eco mode for all rider profiles

  • Up to 25% savings in Standard mode for urban cyclists

  • Up to 10% savings in Standard mode for sport cyclists

Why this matters for fleet operators

For operators under pressure to differentiate through user experience while optimizing operating costs, the impact is direct: more trips, fewer interruptions, longer-lasting fleets, lower costs, and stronger user appeal. In short, a solution designed for both profitability and experience.

Flexible integration

eBikeOS adapts to different hardware environments and offers multiple deployment options: porting to an existing IoT device, collaborating with eBikeOS-compatible controller manufacturers, or developing fully customized integrations.

Beyond savings: a holistic optimization

Energy efficiency is just the beginning. eBikeOS also provides advanced diagnostics, anomaly detection, fine-tuned assistance settings, and a smoother riding experience. For operators, this means reduced costs combined with a superior “ride feeling” that builds loyalty and attracts new users.

“Energy efficiency only matters if it also enhances the user experience. With eBikeOS, we deliver not only up to 45% battery savings, but also greater riding pleasure — enabling longer journeys for cyclists and providing the key to retaining and attracting new users,” adds Maël Bosson.

The future of e-bike fleets depends on efficiency, reliability, and differentiation. eBikeOS delivers all three.
