D-GO by DOGA and eBikeLabs join forces to redefine safety, comfort and durability for premium cargo bikes
Grenoble (France) / Barcelona (Spain) — 21 November 2025
DOGA, a global leader in precision motor systems, and eBikeLabs, the French technology pioneer behind eBikeOS, are joining forces in a new R&D partnership aimed at delivering the next generation of performance and safety for premium cargo bikes. This next-generation drive system, complete with a fully repairable battery by Infinite Battery is ready to be tested and already being tested by a number of brands. Production is planned to start in 2026.
This new partnership combines DOGA's decades of advanced direct-drive motor expertise with eBikeLabs’ intelligent eBikeOS control software to create an ultra-silent, high-torque direct-drive motor system, purpose-built for professional and family cargo riders who demand reliability, endurance, and refinement.
At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared ambition: to make cargo bikes more enjoyable, efficient, and sustainable, for both professional and family riders.
This is not about making a better bike, but a real alternative to the car.
D-GO by DOGA’s exceptionally light, direct-drive motor, weighing only 3 kg, about half the weight of comparable systems, now reaches its full potential through eBikeOS. The integration unlocks adaptive regenerative braking, delivering smooth, predictable deceleration while recovering energy to extend range.
This intelligent regenerative braking control, unique to eBikeLabs, transforms safety and comfort for heavy-load riders, especially in stop-and-go urban traffic or downhill conditions.
“Integrating eBikeOS allows our motor to express its full potential,” said Ricard Mila, Business Unit Director at DOGA. “It’s the perfect showcase of how advanced software control can enhance motor performance, energy recovery, and rider confidence.”
Infinite Battery: the perfect battery for regenerative braking
Regenerative braking delivers its full benefits only if the battery supports high charging currents. That is why D-GO by DOGA, Infinite Battery, and eBikeLabs have teamed up; to make regenerative braking both efficient, genuinely fun and a sustainably superior way to slow down. And because the Infinite Battery can be renewed simply by swapping out its cells, it pairs perfectly with the D-GO by DOGA motor’s endurance and eBikeOS’ life-extension and lifetime-repairability vision. Together, this trio of battery, motor, and control sets a new benchmark for ride quality today and long-term value tomorrow.
A new benchmark for premium cargo applications
At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared ambition: to make cargo bikes not just powerful, but effortless and enjoyable. DOGA’s expertise in motion control and automotive-grade manufacturing ensures robustness and precision, while eBikeLabs brings ride intelligence and regenerative innovation that elevate both efficiency and experience.
“With DOGA, we’re proving that premium cargo bikes can be as silent, smooth, and intelligent as the best electric cars,” said Maël Bosson, CEO of eBikeLabs. “Regen braking, seamless torque delivery, and intuitive control: this is the next frontier of safe, efficient e-mobility.”
A shared vision: the best technology serving active mobility.
Both DOGA and eBikeLabs are driven by a deep belief that technology should improve sustainability. For DOGA, this partnership extends its heritage of mechatronic design into light electric mobility, bringing its “Power to move, power to control” philosophy to a new generation of vehicles. For eBikeLabs, it reinforces eBikeOS as the operating system of choice for manufacturers seeking the most natural, reliable, and intelligent ride experience.
The first customer integrations are expected in 2026.
The D-GO motor was created through a European collaboration that brings together DOGA’s Spanish engineering heritage and MOOV’s vision, expertise, and R&D capabilities, giving D-GO by DOGA the exclusive license to manufacture and commercialize this new motor.
